Ingrid was born in New Haven, and has lived in the New Haven County area almost all of her life. She began her career in caretaking surrounded by animals at a very young age and attended her first dog obedience class at 11 years of age. Starting with a background in art, her love of caretaking led her to begin her veterinary career in her twenties, which lasted close to twenty years, as well as operating her own cleaning , personal care, and petsitting service company.
Ingrid later owned and operated a family run automotive repair service for many years, which successfully focused on providing superior customer service and satisfaction.
After Ingrid’s grandmother entered into the nursing home system, Ingrid’s experience overseeing her healthcare, helped her gain a better understanding of how significant a difference in someones well being she could make by creating a healthy and safe environment. Ingrid realized that maintaining people’s independence to remain at home and keep their cherished pets, leads to a positive effect in the quality and longevity of one’s life. and an increased ability to make their own life choices.
Keeping up on healthcare/wellness, and being a longtime vegetarian, Ingrid can offer help to others to live their lives to the fullest. She has volunteered with several organizations, was a trained Hospice volunteer, and often visited patients with her special dog ” Alex”.
Her interests include wellness, yoga, travel, and sharing her home with four dogs, two Mini Horses, and a rabbit.
